The crafting system is great and playing on Survivor really forces you to make tough choices about what you need. I'm not one for games that are focused on story, but TLOU is top notch. 343 missed an opportunity to give us more Chief and the "AI realizes it must enslave humanity to save humanity" plot has been done to death, but the smooth gameplay, spartan ability and my love for the Halo franchise saved this campaign for me (That and the fact that I played it in Co-Op with my brothers)ĥ: The Last of Us Remastered - 1/16/17 (12.5 hours, Survivor) 9/10 It's not a magnificent 10/10, but it was a solid 8.Ĥ: Halo 5 - 1/6/17 (8.5 hours, Heroic) 7/10 Campaign, 10/10 MultiplayerĪfter dumping 574 hours into the multiplayer and getting to SR 146 I decided it was time to actually play the Halo 5 campaign. While I do think it's a little climbing heavy and has a few unrealistic gameplay elements (magic rope, crates with wheels, dumb enemy AI), the game itself was beautiful to look at and had a decent storyline. Uncharted gets a lot of hate that I don't think is completely deserved.

It was a good change of pace though not being able to turn off the motion controls was a nuisance. GOD DAMN MUMMY-ME MAZE FOREVER! Ok now that I got that out of my system, I loved Captain Toad. I stopped my quest for perfection around the 4th world.Ģ: Captain Toad Treasure Tracker (Started in 2016)- 1/1/17 (24 hours) 9/10 It was an easy platformer to just fly through, but devilishly difficult to 100%. Although it was doomed to fail to live up to SMW2. Needless to say Wooly World had some MASSIVE shoes to fill. I read Nintendo Power religiously I can remember thinking about how badly I wanted this game. Yoshi's Island on the SNES was the first game I ever bought with my own money.

With the Switch coming out, plans to grab a PS4 Pro and Scorpio sometime this year and subscriptions to Live and Plus I think I'm pretty prepared.ġ: Yoshi's Wooly World (Started in 2016)- 1/1/17 (22 hours) 8/10

Thought about it long and hard, especially with a full time job, wife, 14 month old daughter and another baby on the way but I decided to take the plunge and challenge myself.
